Terms of Service

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

SnapStats accounts are available to:

• Clubs and organizations — registering on behalf of a team or program
• Coaches and staff — invited by a club administrator
• Parents and guardians — creating an account to view a minor athlete's stats
• Players aged 13 and older — with verifiable parental or guardian consent

Children under the age of 13 may not create accounts. See Section 8 (Children & COPPA Compliance) for details on how we handle minor athlete data.

SnapStats allows users to upload game footage and link external video URLs for stat-tracking purposes. By providing video content to the platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share the video content
• The video does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
• You have obtained any required consent from individuals appearing in the video, including consent from parents or guardians of minors who appear in the video

Video storage. Uploaded video files are stored on our infrastructure (currently via Supabase Storage). Videos are associated with the club and game they were uploaded for. Videos are deleted when the associated game is deleted, or upon account/club deletion subject to the retention periods described in Section 10.

External video links. When you provide a link to an externally hosted video (such as YouTube or Vimeo), SnapStats does not store or control that video content. We store only the URL reference. Availability and rights to externally hosted videos are your responsibility.

DMCA and takedown requests. If you believe any content on the platform infringes your rights, please contact us at hello@snapstats.app with a description of the content and your claim. We will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable law.

Your content. You and your club retain ownership of all content you create on the platform, including rosters, player information, game data, stat entries, video uploads, and session configurations.

License to operate the platform. By using the platform, you grant SnapStats a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and display your content solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and providing the SnapStats platform and its features to you and your authorized users.

License for anonymized data. You grant SnapStats a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, aggregate, anonymize, and analyze your content to create anonymized and aggregated data products. This includes statistical benchmarks, sport-level insights, and performance trends that cannot be used to identify individual users, athletes, or clubs. SnapStats owns all rights to such anonymized and aggregated data.

What we will not do. We will not sell, license, or share your identifiable content (rosters, individual player stats, video, or any data that could identify your club, coaches, players, or families) with third parties, except as required to operate the platform through our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Paid-tier users can export their club's stat data via CSV at any time through the platform.

Free-tier users may request a data export by contacting hello@snapstats.app.

Upon subscription cancellation or account deletion, your club's data will be retained for 90 days, during which you may continue to export your data. After 90 days, identifiable club data, including uploaded videos, will be permanently deleted.

Anonymized and aggregated data derived from your usage will be retained indefinitely, as it cannot identify individual users, athletes, or clubs.

SnapStats offers a free tier with limited functionality, as well as paid subscription tiers (Team and Program) with full functionality. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe and will auto-renew unless cancelled.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.

Add-on teams. Program tier subscribers may add additional teams beyond the included allocation. Each additional team is billed as a recurring add-on. Removing an add-on team takes effect at the next billing cycle.

Price changes. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 60 days' advance notice via email to the account holder. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following the notice period. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect payment for up to 14 days. If payment is not resolved, your subscription will be downgraded to the free tier. Your data will be retained for 90 days, during which you may resubscribe or export your data.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or services
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties
• Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or that violates the rights of others
• Use the platform to collect, store, or process personal information about minors beyond what is necessary for stat tracking within your authorized club

SnapStats is designed for use by coaches, club administrators, and parents — not directly by children. We take the privacy of minor athletes seriously.

No accounts for children under 13. Children under the age of 13 may not create SnapStats accounts under any circumstances.

Player accounts for ages 13-17. Players aged 13 and older may create accounts with verifiable parental or guardian consent. During the account creation process for minor players, we require a parent or guardian email to obtain consent before the account is activated.

Roster data entered by authorized adults. Roster data for minor athletes (name, jersey/cap number, and position) is entered into the platform by authorized coaches and club administrators. This data is collected solely for the purpose of stat tracking within the club's account and is protected by our multi-tenant row-level security model.

Parent portal. Parents and guardians may create their own accounts to view their child's stats and video clips. The parent or guardian who creates an account and links it to their minor child consents to the display of their child's stat and video clip data within the parent portal.

Parental rights. Parents and guardians may at any time:

• Review the personal information we hold about their child
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of their child's information
• Refuse further collection of their child's information

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@snapstats.app. We will verify your identity and your relationship to the child before processing any request.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us immediately at hello@snapstats.app and we will promptly investigate and delete such information if confirmed.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnapStats and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Video content you upload or link to through the platform
• Roster or player data you enter into the platform without proper authorization

By you. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@snapstats.app. We are working toward full self-service account deletion within the platform. Upon account deletion, the data retention policies described in Section 5 will apply.

By us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties, or for any other reason. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a prorated refund for any unused portion of a prepaid subscription.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SnapStats does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any statistics, data, or content generated through the platform. Stat tracking is performed by users, and SnapStats is not responsible for errors in user-generated data.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPSTATS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SNAPSTATS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@snapstats.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least 30 days.
