A box score that knows what a 2 metre defender does
Goals and assists are the easy part. These are the columns that decide who actually played well, and most of them do not exist in a generic tracker.

- Including the goalkeeper full court goal, because it happens.

- The pass that made the goal, credited to the player who made it.
- Blocks
- Field blocks, separate from goalkeeper saves.
- Earned exclusions
- Exclusions and 5 metres your player drew. The stat that never makes a box score anywhere else.
- Shooting percentage
- Goals against shots taken, not shots on cage.
- Goals allowed
- Split between the goalkeeper and the primary defender.
- Steals
- Possession won back.
- Personal fouls
- Exclusions drawn against your player, and offensive fouls.
- Performance indicator
- One number that weights the whole line, so a 2 metre defender is not judged on goals.
Every stat carries the situation it happened in
A goal on 6 on 5 and a goal on a counter attack are not the same goal. SnapStats records the possession context with the stat, so man up conversion is a number you can look at rather than a feeling you have.
Shots are placed by pool position too, across the six positions and the cage, so you can see where your offence actually generates and where it stalls.

Fair questions
Do we have to stat the game live, in the pool deck chaos?
You can, and most clubs do, because live tracking is what makes the stream scoreboard and the parent notifications work. You can also stat from the film afterwards, which is how a lot of teams handle away games where nobody was free to track.
How are the stats tied to the video?
Every stat is recorded against a moment in the game, so a stat line is also a list of clips. Tap a goal and you are watching the goal. Pull every clip of one player back to back to build a recruiting reel without scrubbing through four quarters.
We run several teams, from 12U to 18U. Is that one account or several?
One club, with each team inside it. Rosters, schedules, coaches and parents sit under the club, so an admin sets up a season once rather than once per team. Roles decide who sees and does what.
What do parents actually get?
They follow their own child. Schedule and RSVP, the live stream when the game is on, and afterwards their player’s stat line with the clips attached. They do not get a spreadsheet emailed on Sunday night.
Does it understand water polo, or is it a generic tracker with the labels changed?
The sport is configured properly: four quarters, overtime, the six pool positions, and possession context for even, man up, man down, counter attack and 5 metre. Earned exclusions are a first class stat. That is the difference between a water polo product and a soccer product with the words swapped.
